New Orleans


I’ve never been to New Orleans, not until last weekend that is. I was giddy with excitement to finally see/hear/taste what everyone has been raving about all this time. It did not disappoint. We walked all over the French Quarter and the Garden District. There was not a beignet left un-eaten or a cocktail un-sipped by the time we were done.

The first night we went to Arnaud’s French 75 bar for strong drinks, cigars and fried oysters before dinner. I was full, and tipsy, by the time we got to Cochon but managed to try a bunch of delicious things appetizers and amazing peanut butter pie for dessert. In the morning we got up super early and beat the line at Café du Monde for a plate of beignets and café au lait. After covering ourselves in powdered sugar, we walked up and down every street in the French Quarter…
